MicroBlue® Bearings:
Our MicroBlue® high performance, low friction bearings are essentially re-manufactured bearings that are improved in a number of ways. Naturally, every bearing we offer is 100% coated with MicroBlue® on the contact surfaces, but you have more options as well. REM ® superfinishing is a natural compliment to MicroBlue®, and bearings are no exception. We have been coating bearings for years, but we have always known that if we can polish the contact surfaces before MicroBlue® coating, the performance bar is raised considerably, especially with tapered types. So what did we do? We have developed a system that allows us to polish any assembled bearing, regardless of type. What does this mean to you? It brings another level of bearing performance that is more affordable when compared to our hand-assembled steel & ceramic line, and the performance improvement is considerable when compared to bearings with typical ground finishes. There's no question about how high-quality Saint-Gobain ceramic balls reduce bearing friction, but when superfinishing and MicroBlue® are added to the equation,, the result is nothing short of amazing.

MicroBlue® Patent:
On December 20, 2005, the USPTO issued patent # #6,977,096. There are 23 claims, which cover both method and hardware designs. It is this combination which is responsible for the superior bond properties MicroBlue is known for.

MicroBlue® Lubricants:
Because of the way MicroBlue changes the way a lubricant works, we can now explore some lubricant types and thicknesses that simply were not feasible before. Overall, we are now able to use much thinner viscosities, but to take the most advantage of this, the blend should be specific to the intended use. For example, a go kart wheel bearing does not need the same amount of extreme pressure additives as an automobile wheel bearing does. The tapered bearing needs nothing different in protection than the ball type does, but it needs some “cling” so it will not settle out as an oil will. We are now offering a full line of bearing lubricants, including one synthetic that is designed to be effective down to 140 deg./F. Call for details.
